Merry Easter

I'm sure some of you have heard tons of Happy Easters today, so I switched it up a bit! :)

I absolutely love this time of year, Easter is one of my favorite holidays because the weather is always beautiful. My mom cooked a big lunch today, so we went out there and Mason and Garrett hunted eggs. It was such a great day, I hope all of yours was just as blessed!

Even though the weather is nice, we need rain. There have been so many grass fires and severe drought, everything is dead and dry. So, this time of year isn't nearly as beautiful as it usually is. I hear some of you are getting too much rain, send it to Texas please!

I will leave you with a few pictures of our Easter Day..but first I want to explain to some of you about Garrett. A few people have asked me if he is mine, or what the situation is..so I'm going to put it out there so no one is confused. Most of you know me in person, or on Facebook...but some of you don't and may be wondering.

To make a long story short, Garrett is my uncle's ( my mom's brother) son. My uncle and his wife (Garrett's mom) have some personal issues, his mom just got out of prison and they both have a drug problem. They are both really great people, but bad things got the best of them. My mom ended up with full custody of Garrett, so he lives with her. It gets a little hard on my mom because she is in her 40's and raising another toddler, it was something unexpected for her. She never remarried after her and my dad divorced, so once I moved out she had a very private and quiet life...how she liked it. Garrett has lived with her a few years now and they have both really adjusted..they are so close. My mom is so used to having him around now, that she misses him and gets lonely when he isn't there.

But, on the weekends Garrett usually comes and stays with us. It gives my mom a little break, and we really enjoy his company! Him and Mason are only a few years apart, and are like brothers now. They play really well together and have a blast! It's actually easier on me when Garrett is here, they entertain each other and stay out of my hair! lol When Garrett is gone Mason gets so bored and whiny.

So..Garrett is actually my little cousin, not my son (Mason is my only child). I just wanted to explain some of it because a few of you have asked me. :)

Here is a pic of the boys enjoying their day, Garrett is driving and Mason is chilling. :)

Mason enjoying his Easter hunt...

Meet your Blogger...and my husband Kevin. Sorry ladies, he is taken. :) Excuse my bad hair day, it was extremely windy and kept slapping my husband in the face haha

This is Garrett...what a cutie!

Mason was on a serious mission for eggs. He is adorable in his little flip flops if I do say so myself..

Hope you all had a wonderful & blessed Easter!
